On Saturday February 13th Jim's mom Elaine went on her 3rd mission.
The shuttle came and picked her up and off she went on her new adventure. She is now serving in the Philippines and from the sounds of it she is really going to enjoy it.
Her first mission that she served was shortly after Jim and I were married she taught English in China for a year, along with her sister.
After that she went to Washington State and worked at a church ranch. Now she is teaching the people of the Philippines, They are lucky to have her, She truly is a daughter of God. She is one of the most selfless women I know. She worked a few days at the cannery, did Temple work a few days a week and also went and did quilting at a retirement center.
Because she has been gone most of the time we have been married I have not really gotten the chance to get to know her as a mother in law of become good friends like I hoped for. But I can tell she is a great lady and that I am lucky that she is apart of my life, She is a great mom and has raised 4 of the nicest daughters and 2 of the best men in the world, one of which I get to call my husband. She is a great grandmother to her grandchildren and Cooper Loves her so much. He asks at least once a day if we can go see Grandma Clark. Its crazy to think that he will be almost 5 before she comes home.
