Pounce & Ruger

It has been a sad month at our house as far as pets.
We really loved Ruger but he was getting to big and wild for Cooper to be around. Every time we would let him out he would get so excited to see everyone that he would jump and that of course meant Cooper would spend most of his time on the ground in tears while we were yelling at the dog. We felt bad that we were always yelling at him. He was a puppy still but we knew that it was time for him to go. We are SO lucky that my cousin Amanda took him and is SOOOO great with him. He is happy and can jump and play all day with her. she spoils him rotten and that is just what he needs!

Now comes the sad news. I never knew that having a pet die would be hard.
I called my Grandma on Saturday to check in and see how they were doing, She said that Pounce my cat was not doing to well and she had not moved or eaten hardly for the past 3 days. Pounce lived a full mouse chasing yarn playing 18 years of life. I knew what was about to happen. We called the vet to see about putting her to sleep. They wanted 200 dollars to do that. Money right now is tight for all of us and as much as she meant to me I just really could not take her to the Vet. So being old fashioned my Grandpa who loved her as much as I did. took pounce to the hills. It was a hard day for all of us. we loved her but at the same time we didnt know how much until she was gone. it seems like she had always been apart of our home. Its weird not to hear her at the door meowing to come in. However as hard as it was to say good bye to our pets they are both better off and so much happier.
